Cronos The New Dawn, the upcoming new survival horror game from Bloober Team, recently got a confirmed release date announcement. Taking notes from the studio’s previous work in Silent Hill 2 Remake, Cronos is a third-person survival horror game, with a focus on narrative over action. While the game does seem quite reminiscent of Dead Space, a more action-oriented horror franchise, Cronos is a more slow-paced psychological affair. While the game does have its fair share of action, it’s all in the service of the survival elements as well as the narrative. It’s also a new IP from Bloober Team, with their last original title being 2022’s The Medium.
Much like any other title from Bloober Team, details regarding Cronos The New Dawn are very limited ahead of its release. However, the studio did recently reveal the game’s release date, alongside a story trailer. Here’s everything you need to know about Cronos The New Dawn’s release date, pre-order details, and more.
Cronos The New Dawn Release Date and Platforms
Cronos The New Dawn is scheduled to be released on September 5, 2025. However, there’s a catch. If you pre-order the Deluxe Edition of the game, you will be able to start playing Cronos 48 hours early, i.e., starting from September 3, 2025. This applies to pre-orders only and can be availed on copies bought between September 3 and September 5, 2025.
It should be noted that the early access (advanced access on Steam) incentive is only valid for the Deluxe Edition pre-orders. Furthermore, much like Bloober Team’s previous few releases, Cronos is a current-gen-only title. This means that the game is coming to PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and Windows PC.
Furthermore, Cronos The New Dawn is also coming to Nintendo Switch 2 on the same day as other platforms. That said, the Nintendo Switch 2 version of the game doesn’t have any early access incentive for pre-ordering.
Cronos The New Dawn Editions and Prices
Unlike the Silent Hill 2 Remake, Cronos is a Double-A production from Bloober Team. As such, the game is priced accordingly. Cronos The New Dawn is available in two different editions: Standard and Deluxe. The Standard Edition is priced at $60 and comes with the base game and pre-order bonuses.
The Deluxe Edition, on the other hand, is priced at $70 and comes with exclusive costumes for the Traveller on top of the Standard Edition content. Also, as mentioned earlier, the Deluxe Edition also offers 48-hour early access. Here’s a rundown of the different editions of the game and their contents:
