Bolt cutters have become somewhat of a staple in survival horror lately, and the iconic tool now finds its way to Cronos The New Dawn. As you explore the various locations in the early hours of the game, you’ll come across several doors bolted shut with chains.
The only way to pass through these doors is with the use of bolt cutters, but none are anywhere to be seen. Finding the bolt cutters is one of your main objectives in the early hours of the game, and if you feel lost, we’re here to walk you through it.

How To Get Bolt Cutters in Cronos The New Dawn

You find Boltcutters in the Jedrus Tool Store in Cronos The New Dawn. This is the store that you pass through when making your way to the D-3 Housing Project. While passing through this store, you find a locked door that requires a key. We need to find this key first.
Make your way to the D-3 Housing Project Building 34, and head all the way up. The path is linear, so you won’t get lost. At the very end of this section, right after the big enemy ambush, you will find the store key on a table on the top floor.
Take the key and head back to the Jedrus Tool Store. Enter the locked office using the key and make your way to the door on the left. This door, too, is blocked by something. Circle around to the back of the office, and you’ll find that organic matter is blocking the door you seek to unlock. Shoot the barrel above the organic matter to unlock the door.
As soon as you unlock the door, you’ll kick off a boss fight. You’ll have to fight against a giant Orphan in the confines of the store. We recommend using the shelf to circle around in one spot. Also, use your shotgun to pump charged shots into the boss. It will take around 4 charged shots before he falls. Enter the room he broke out of to find the bolt cutters.
