Keyes, the grand piano, is one of the many Dateables you can find around your house in Date Everything. Unlike most other Dateables, she has a long quest you must complete before being able to romance her. Additionally, this quest is more extensive than most others. The choices you make during this quest influence the ending you receive in Keyes’ storyline.

This guide explains how to complete the Keyes Performance quest in Date Everything.

Keyes is trying to write her music without anyone’s help. However, some other Dateables are making things difficult by constantly distracting her with their daily antics. Since Keyes has trouble communicating with others due to her personality, she turns to you for help. Agree to assist her and talk to these five Dateables to advance her quest:

  • Hoover (Vacuum Cleaner)
  • Hector (AC Vents)
  • Lux (Lamp)
  • Telly (Television)
  • Rainey (Record Player)

There are no dialogue choices when talking to them, so you don’t have to worry about anyone hating you. After speaking to all of them, return to Keyes and tell her that you’ve taken care of her problems so she can continue composing.

Help Keyes with Composing in Date Everything

After reporting your progress, Keyes realizes that asking for help isn’t so bad after all, and she asks for assistance with her masterpiece. You’ll need to revisit any of the three previously talked to Dateables and convince them to help Keyes. Here’s who to visit and what to say:

  • Hoover: Tell him he’s right to be annoyed with Keyes.
  • Hector: Start a conversation about Celsicus.
  • Lux: Feed their ego until they agree to help Keyes.

Once you gather help, Keyes will mention that you might be a composer and ask for help with her project. However, you have to be honest and tell her you’re not a composer. Instead, you acquired the piano as a hand-me-down to use as decoration.

Keyes will be shocked by this revelation, and you should use the chewing gum metaphor to soften the impact. She will also ask for some time to digest the news, so leave the conversation. Pass the day, and talk to her again the next day. Although she’ll feel a bit sad about being a hand-me-down, she won’t give up on her performance.

Finalise The Performance in Date Everything

When you talk to Keyes the next day, she’ll mention that Telly is causing chaos again and will ask you to go talk to her (since Keyes is busy composing). Once back, tell Keyes that you want her to make friends and be open about her wishes. Encourage her to communicate, and she will start making friends on her own.

After a few days, Keyes will develop a play and discuss the characters and dialogue options with you, which will determine the ending you get with her.
