Liquids have splashed into Dead Rails, and they change more than the color of your boots. Puddles sit across every map, coating anyone brave or careless enough to step through them. Pick up a bottle, scoop up the mess, and you suddenly control elemental tools that can heal, ignite, or brew potions with teeth.

Water is tame, kerosene is trouble, and unicorn blood is pure jackpot. Because every droplet carries a purpose, knowing what it does and where it hides is a new survival skill. This guide strips the feature down to bare essentials so you can turn puddles into power.

Liquids in Dead Rails Roblox

The liquid system in Dead Rails is easy to understand but packed with potential. Liquids form puddles on the ground. Step into a puddle and your character gets covered. You’ll see a prompt showing which liquid you’re soaked in. This isn’t just cosmetic—different liquids have different effects.

To collect any liquid, grab a Glass Bottle while looting buildings. Pour two liquids into the same puddle to mix them and possibly create new effects. This system becomes especially useful for crafting advanced items or creating environmental hazards.

Currently, six liquids exist in the game. Here’s a breakdown of each, including how to get them and what they’re used for:

Liquid TypeAppearanceSourceUses
WaterPale blueDrops from the sky as rainUsed to craft Holy Water
BloodDark redLeaks from damaged non-zombie, non-unicorn creaturesIngredient for Angel Tears
Zombie BloodMurky dark greenLeaks from zombies when damagedUnique to zombies, no crafting use listed yet
MilkWhiteComes with the Milkman classIngredient in Primordial Soup
KeroseneYellowFalls as rain in Scorched Earth zonesMakes things flammable, used in Molotovs and Devil Tears
Unicorn BloodBright magentaComes from damaged unicorns or lightning-struck puddlesBase ingredient for most potions

You can mix these liquids freely, but be cautious. For example, soaking someone in kerosene makes them highly flammable, while covering yourself in unicorn blood might be necessary for certain potion effects.

Use puddles tactically. Turn weather events like rain or lightning into opportunities. Loot Glass Bottles when possible. And don’t ignore those strangely colored puddles, they might be more useful than they look.
