The Dead Rails developers tossed in the Fools Gold Challenge like a sly wink, and it’s tempting to call it a troll move. Don’t be fooled; this short and wild ride is worth mastering, especially for that shiny Fools Key.
Unlike the usual Roblox mess of overcooked challenges, this one skips the nonsense. Stock up on coal, hit the tracks, and loot like you mean it. The update’s chaos makes sense once you’re in, and this guide lays it out plainly.
How To Get Fools Gold Key in Dead Rails Roblox
First, stockpile coal and supplies. Running out of fuel mid-run will end your challenge prematurely. Optimize your team using the Dead Rails class tier list. Prioritize damage dealers and mobility-focused roles like the Horse to dodge threats later.
Next, drive your train until you hit 7,000-8,000 meters. Look for a burning town with zombie clusters. Disembark and clear the area quickly. Enter every building and search corners, cabinets, and containers for Fools Gold – a round, glowing item. Ignore non-essential loot to save inventory space.
While looting, you’ll find a locked safe in one building. The combination numbers are scattered across the town, but cracking it is optional. Focus on gathering Fools Gold first.
Once you have at least one Fools Gold, return to a safe zone. Toss it onto the deposit table from a distance to avoid sudden enemy spawns. Repeat this process: grind runs to collect Fools Gold, sell it, and rely on RNG until the Fools Key drops. This could take 5–10 attempts or more, persistence is non-negotiable.
After securing the key, push your train to 80,000 meters. A fortress will block the tracks. Dismount and eliminate snipers on the walls first by using a Horse for speed to evade gunfire. Clear all remaining enemies, then locate the locked door on the fortress’s left side. Unlock it with the Fools Key to claim your reward: 40-50 bonds and a hefty dose of bragging rights.
