Keep Track of the Objective
Death Relives’ story moves you from objective to objective, giving you goals to accomplish that push the story forward. It is, however, incredibly easy to lose track of the objective while hiding from Xipe Totec. In such cases, pressing the Tab button will reveal the objective in the top left corner of your screen, guiding you towards the next point of the story. Take note, however, that the objective screen can sometimes outright spell out exactly what you need to do and make the game very easy.

Use the God Seed
The God Seed is the most powerful tool in the game, and you acquire it fairly early on. This tool acts as a minimap of sorts while also functioning like the motion sensor from Alien Isolation. The red dot on the radar marks the location of Xipe Totec, while the white dots mark the locations of exactly where you need to go.

Xipe Totec is an Aztec god out to kill you and is the game’s main antagonist. The Aztec god works much like a stalker in any horror game and is incredibly deadly. Thankfully, he always announces his arrival with a booming voice, telegraphing his path with his loud footsteps. As soon as you hear the noise, it is your cue to hide, and there are plenty of spots on any level. As you go about hiding, watch for glass panes on the floor, as they can give your location away.
