Death Stranding 2 Music Player allows you to curate playlists from music in your collection and play them when you want. The item isn’t available from the start, though, and will only be unlocked sometime in Episode 3. The item was one of the most requested features back when DS1 came out, especially considering the soundtracks involved with the game. With DS2 also boasting plenty of beautiful music, it’s great that we finally get access to a music player to accompany us on deliveries.

This guide notes down when you unlock the Music Player in Death Stranding 2, the different controls, and other relevant information.

Who Is The Musician In Death Stranding 2?

Gen Hoshino is described as “a reclusive musician of unrivaled talent and exceptionally astute hearing”. He reportedly traveled around North America, living a nomadic life and playing music. The Corpus describes his songs as “inspirational, giving people the courage to live after the Death Stranding”.

He then came to Australia through the Mexico Plate Gate and became isolated in his prepper shelter. Although he was living alone, he still kept on creating music. With Sam inducting him to the chiral network, he can now share his music with the world – “a small step on the road to humanity’s revival”.
