Spamton is the next boss you will encounter in Chapter 2 of Deltarune, following the defeat of Berdley. This fight is quite similar to the boss fight of Sweet Cap’n Cakes. The similarity is evident when you time your dodges and maneuver a heart to make these escapes. In this article, we will discuss ways to defeat the Spamton boss in Deltarune, Chapter 2.

Spamton Boss in Deltarune, Chapter 2

During a stretch of chapter 2, Kris finds himself exploring the lands by himself. This is when he first encounters Spamton hiding inside a dumpster. Spamton is a salesman, self-proclaimed to be number 1. After a brief one-sided conversation, Spamton begins a duel with you.

Round 1

Spamton tries to make a deal with you. After selecting ‘CHECK’, Spamton will start sucking dollar signs into his wide mouth. Your objective is to dodge these incoming dollar signs from the left by moving the heart around inside the green box.

At the end of this, select ‘TELL ME MORE’ to move to the next round.

Round 2

In this round, Spamton will start shooting mini Spamtons at you from his mouth. These are more random as they zigzag in an up-and-down direction, disorienting your movements. Once you dodge through the obstacles in this round, Spamton communicates with you again.

Select ‘Deal,’ and directly after, select ‘DON’T GIVE.’ Then comes the next round.

Round 3

In this round, Spamton will send waves of wavy texts in your path. Again, you will have to move around the area dodging the texts. This is relatively easier than the previous round, and you get more idle time. Once he is done, click the ‘Deal’ button.

After his brief conversation, select ‘TAKE DEAL,’ and you will progress to the next round.

Round 4

In this round, the green box becomes a bit narrower. As you have finally decided to take a deal, the next round symbolizes his attempts to extract money from you. He starts sucking in dollar signs again, which you will have to dodge by moving around. Again, select ‘Deal’ at the end.

This time, select ‘DON’T BUY’ for the seemingly lucrative deal he proposes. You will then proceed to the final round.

Round 5

Round 5 is similar to Round 4 and consists of you dodging all the dollar signs coming your way. The similarities make it slightly easier to get through this round. At the end, he will ask for your account details.

Select ‘REFUSE,’ and he will offer you one last chance. Regardless of your pick, Spamton will ask you to choose the latter. Choosing ‘YES DEAL’ will end the battle.

After the battle, Spamton says that he will be waiting for us at his shopfront site.

Tips

Keep in mind that the objective of this round is not to deplete his HP to zero. If you do that, Spamton will flee, and you will not encounter him again in the game. On the contrary, you must fill up the mercy bar and make a deal with him to find a healthy resolution to this battle.

During the fight, Spamton will have a conversation with you, and you must answer correctly to fill up his mercy bar. The correct answers for your reference are as follows:

3. TAKE DEAL
4. DON’T BUY
5. REFUSE
6. YES DEAL (This will end the fight.)
