Clover is a mini-boss you face in Chapter 1 of Deltarune. Here is how to defeat or spare this three-headed creature.
Deltarune has no shortage of bosses and mini-bosses to encounter and overcome. One of the early bosses you face in Chapter 1 is the three-headed creature, Clover. She has three different personalities that control each head, and you must talk to her about her interests to pacify her. Here is how to defeat or spare this boss.

How To Start the Clover Boss in Deltarune
This is a fairly straightforward boss. You start her boss fight during Chapter 1, after the Card Castle puzzle. Once you finish the fourth puzzle and try to proceed to the next room, you will be ambushed by Clover. There are four puzzles you need to complete, and you can read more about it here.
How To Defeat Clover in Deltarune
Clover is a fairly straightforward boss fight, with quite simple and predictable attacks. One of her first attacks has her fire Club suits from the right side, which split into three circular projectiles. Stay towards the left side of the box and dodge accordingly.
Another attack has two clubs appear at the bottom left and bottom right of the screen, following which they will fire three rows of projectiles. Each row has three projectiles, making it nine in total. Stay near the upper half of the box, and weave between this attack.
She only has 270 HP if you wish to take her down via traditional fighting. However, it is recommended to try to spare her, as that will most likely be easier at this stage. You can pacify her if her health falls below the 50% threshold (135). You can also easily spare her if you engage her with the right dialogue.

Spare Clover
You should use the following ACTs to spare her easily:
- Talk Boys
- Talk Sports
- Talk Trees
If you use the first two dialogues first, then Ralsei can spare Clover by the end of the third turn, making this battle quick and short.
