Discover how to easily locate, beat, and recruit the hidden Water Cooler Bosses in Deltarune Chapters 3 and 4.
The Water Cooler is a recurring and heavily memed enemy found in Deltarune Chapters 3 and 4. The Water Cooler boss embodies classic Toby Fox humor and is hidden in multiple locations across both chapters. In addition to its comedic value, the Water Cooler can be a humorous addition to Castle Town after it is spared and recruited.
Water Cooler Boss in Deltarune Chapter 3
After playing the first round of Mr. Ant Tenna’s gameshow, you will be ushered to the Green Room. From here, you can find a secret Water Cooler boss by entering the C-Rank room. Head through the doorway and make your way through the spotlights in the stealth section. After progressing through another area with spotlights, you will find a door on the north side of the corridor. Head through it to find a Water Cooler and a chest. If you try to back out of the room, there will be two Water Coolers waiting to fight you.

Water Cooler Boss in Deltarune Chapter 4
In addition to regular Water Coolers, you will find a secret Holy Water Cooler Boss in Chapter 4. From Old Man Gerson’s Study, head left and then down. Continue travelling left until you descend the stairs and enter a dark room with pressure plates and fuzzy black enemies to avoid. Climb the wall at the western end of the room and continue climbing up past the platforms while dodging the falling water.
At the top, you will find a wooden tub of water. Interact with it and start walking away. The Holy Water Cooler will fly in out of nowhere, and a battle will begin. Use ACT options on the cooler to transform it into Miss Mizzle.
How To Beat and Recruit the Water Cooler
The Water Cooler is recruitable, but you’ll have to fill up its Mercy meter before sparing and recruiting it. When the Water Cooler attacks, it forms a large ball of water near the center with droplets closing in from all around. The ball increases in size and moves as the droplets add to it. You have to avoid both the growing ball and the water droplets.
To recruit the Water Cooler quickly, use the “Act Cool” ACT option. Also, try out other ACT options like Flirt to see some hilarious reactions. While the normal Water Cooler has apt lines like “boble” and “buble,” the Holy Water Cooler will bombard you with entire speeches.
