Earn Z-Rank for Tenna’s board in Deltarune Chapter 3 by intentionally failing minigames to unlock the secret Z-Rank Room.
The Dark World of Deltarune Chapter 3 begins with Tenna’s gameshow, which has you participate in multiple mini-games. Each game is scored based on your performance and includes ranks T, S, A, B, and C. Your final rank determines which door will open for you following the gameshow. However, there is a hidden Z-Rank that leads to a secret room covered by a manhole. Achieving Z-Rank is only possible if you perform very poorly in every single mini-game.
How To Get Z-Rank in Deltarune Chapter 3
To ensure that you get Z-Rank on Tenna’s board, you have to answer all quiz questions wrong, get hit, and prolong fights. Additionally, you should finish each battle with less than 70% TP throughout it. Each minigame has a different way for you to fail spectacularly.

Perform Poorly in Fights
Each fight should last at least seven turns. Keep your TP below 70%. While this will require you to deliberately perform poorly, keep in mind that you still have to stay alive to get a rank.
Get Each Quiz Question Wrong
The second minigame involves answering quiz questions by selecting one of four options. These options will usually have one answer that is very obviously wrong. Select that to be on the safe side, and complete the quiz with every answer wrong.
Achieve Zero Stars in Cooking Minigame
During the cooking show, try to hit as few guests as possible. Especially avoid hitting the special guests. Run the clock down without your HP depleting completely. Getting hit on purpose is also a good way to lower your score. Once you receive zero stars on this minigame, you will achieve Z-Rank on Tenna’s board.
The Secret Z-Rank Room in Chapter 3
Once you achieve Z-Rank in Tenna’s board and enter the room on the right side of the S-Rank door, an NPC will open the Z-Rank door for you and usher you in. Entering the Z-Rank room, you will find a manhole in the middle. Interact and go through it. This will lead you to the backstage area of the S-Rank room. Once you are inside the S-Rank room, you can play on the console to fight and unlock the Shadow Mantle.
