Many bosses in Deltarune have their own mechanics you need to master in order to defeat. Shuttah is one of these bosses, who utilizes a photo-clicking mechanic to give you a harder challenge.
You should be prepared for disorienting and confusing attacks from this boss. Here is how to defeat this photo-hungry menace.

How To Start the Shuttah Boss Fight in Chapter 3 of Deltarune
This is the boss of the second board of Tenna’s TV show. You will encounter this boss once you click all the photos required to end this stage. This initiates the boss fight against Shuttah.

How To Defeat Shuttah in Deltarune
This is a simple boss, with a unique mechanic in its fight. The camera is key in overcoming this challenge. You can use the ACT menu to take different types of photos. These are:
- Tough Photo
- Easy Photo (with Ralsei)
- Power Photo (with Susie)
Each of them costs different TP and increases the Mercy bar depending on the TP used. Use them based on the TP you have in battle. You should defend with the third teammate to build up some TP.
These ACTs will make you click photos of various things in battle. Some examples are:
- Picture of all three party members
- Picture of Shuttah’s smile
- Picture of an explosion
- Picture of a teammate
- Picture of Lancer’s tongue
You will have a limited time to take these photos. The time will tick down in the center of the screen. Keep clicking photos, and eventually, Shuttah will be recruited.
Moves To Avoid
Shuttah will launch various diamond and teardrop-shaped projectiles at you. These alone would be quite simple to dodge. However, this boss also starts clicking photos at random times and then rotates these photos. Therefore, you need to avoid these rotating projectiles while simultaneously dodging any other incoming attacks.
