Learn how to correctly answer the Tasque Manager’s Painting questions in Deltarune Chapter 2 to spare her instantly.

The Tasque Manager is a mini-boss in Chapter 2 of Deltarune who asks you questions about the arrangement of paintings in the room. While she is challenging to face in battle, the boss fight can be completely avoided by selecting the right dialogue options. As the heroes make their way through Queen’s Mansion, they come upon the Portrait Room with several Tasque paintings. Tasques are the cat-like enemies found throughout the mansion.
Each painting has a number under it, which should be noted for the quiz ahead. The way ahead is blocked by the Tasque Manager, who begins dialogue upon being approached. She asks you questions about the paintings, and if you get all of them right, you will be able to spare her immediately as the battle begins.
Correct Answers to Tasque Manager Painting Questions in Deltarune Chapter 2

Here are all of the Tasque Manager’s questions and their answers:
- Which painting’s name is first alphabetically?
- Answer: Left
- Which painting’s name is third alphabetically?
- Answer: Bottom
- Which painting is fourth?
- Answer: Left
The first two questions are fairly straightforward, with painting one being first alphabetically and three being third alphabetically. The last question is a little tricky. Since the question doesn’t specify “alphabetically,” it refers to the painting labeled with the number four.
After answering the final question, you will enter a battle with the Tasque Manager and two Tasques. If you answered all questions correctly, the Tasque Manager will start with 100% Mercy, which means you can spare her on the first turn. Sparing the Tasque Manager will spare both remaining Tasques as well.

Tasque Manager Painting Questions Outcomes

If you didn’t answer all the questions correctly, the Tasque Manager’s Mercy gauge will fill depending on the number of correct responses. To spare her in this scenario, use Order, Order X, and Soft Voice ACT options to fill her Mercy gauge. Each Tasque you spare during the battle adds 35% to the Tasque Manager’s Mercy gauge.
If you answer the last question with “Right,” the Tasque Manager explains the correct answer. She is likely irritated at how you could be so far off. This is because the “Right” painting is visible during the dialogue and has the number “2” under it, while the fourth one is on the left.
