Welcome to Destiny 2 Fire and Forget God Roll guide! It’s a stasis three burst aggressive frame linear fusion rifle (LFR). LFRs are community’s favorite weapons for PVE due to their high precision damage per second (dps) and overall damage. Stasis is also a favorite element for dps phase damage boost mods like Font of Might and Supreme Wellmaker. This weapon like other seasonal weapons, will not be regularly obtainable after the Lightfall DLC release.

How to Obtain the Fire and Forget
In order to obtain and craft this weapon you need the season pass for Season of the Seraph, and the Witch Queen DLC. You can receive it as a drop completing Seraph seasonal activities or focus it through the seasonal kiosk in the Helm. The Fire and Forget is crafted upon obtaining and completing five deepsight resonance versions of the weapons. There are three upgrades you will need in your seasonal upgrade path to ensure you are farming as efficiently as possible: Focusing Deepsight, Heisted Deepsight, and Seraphic Deepsight Bonus.
PVE Fire and Forget God Roll
The following list presents all Destiny 2 Fire and Forget God Roll traits for PvE
Barrel | Arrowhead Break |
Magazine | Ionized Battery |
Perk 1 | Field Prep |
Perk 2 | Focused Fury |
Origin Trait | Veist Stinger |
Masterwork | Charge Time |
Mod | Boss Spec |
Barrel: For the barrel, we are going with Arrowhead Break. This will give you better recoil direction giving you a better opportunity to precisely land the full three bursts. It also gives a small boost in weapon handling, allowing you to swap to this weapon faster for DPS phase.
Magazine: The obvious choice here is an Ionized Battery. This changes the base magazine from five to six, effectively decreasing the amount of reloads needed with good RNG on the origin perk. It does give a reduction in our reload stat but that is made up for by our other perks.
Perk 1: Field Prep is one of the best reload perks that doesn’t require a kill. Not only does it give extra reserve ammo allowing you more shots for boss damage phases but by just crouching you get a massive boost in reload and handling.
Perk 2: Lastly, Focused Fury is the best overall damage perk available. Landing half your magazine as precision shots will give you a refreshable damage boost.
Origin Trait: For PvE, we want the Veist Stinger origin trait. One of the best origin perks for damage, this will randomly fill the magazine from reserves while doing damage. With a little bit of RNG, you can effectively never have to reload the weapon during damage phases.
Masterwork: Charge Time is the choice of masterwork. This increases DPS by increasing the rate of fire, allowing you to fire more shots within the same amount of time. It does slightly decrease your impact, which decreases your overall damage, but since most boss damage phases are short, it’s important to have higher DPS versus overall damage.
Mod: Boss spec is the only option here. This is a boss DPS weapon, so we want to give a mod that increases our boss damage
Conclusion: The Fire and Forget is an incredibly strong boss damage weapon capable of putting out damage equal to many of the other meta LFRs. The three round bursts may be harder to aim, but they have some of the best damage overall.
PVP Fire and Forget God Roll
The following list presents all Destiny 2 Fire and Forget God Roll traits for PvP
Barrel | Arrowhead Break |
Magazine | Accelerated Coils |
Perk 1 | Surplus |
Perk 2 | Vorpal |
Origin Trait | Ambush |
Masterwork | Charge Time |
Mod | Targeting Adjuster |
Barrel: The barrel choice here is Arrowhead Break. This will give you better recoil direction giving you a better opportunity to precisely land the full three burst shot. It also gives a small boost in weapon handling, allowing you to swap to this weapon faster to secure a kill.
Magazine: Accelerated Coils are incredibly potent for PVP as they decrease the charge time of the weapon allowing you to fire it faster. They do decrease overall damage, but as long as you are landing the three burst shot your enemies should die.
Perk 1: For this perk we are choosing Surplus as it gives a small boost in handling, stability, and reload the more abilities we have available. This lets us swap and ads faster while giving us more stability to reduce our flinch.
Perk 2: Vorpal is the winner in this column. While the options here aren’t the best for PVP, Vorpal does offer the advantage of extra damage to guardians in their supers. This damage could be the difference in you surviving an enemy in a roaming super.
Origin Trait: Ambush should be your pick out of the two available. While Veist Stinger is one of the best PVE Origin Traits in the game, it offers next to nothing in PVP as you won’t normally obtain enough ammo to even have reserves. Ambush gives a little range and handling at the beginning of the engagement, giving a small boost to your weapons performance when you need it the most.
Masterwork: Following a similar theme with our magazine, we are going with charge time masterwork. This further decreases our charge time, letting us charge and fire the weapon faster than your enemies may be prepared for.
Mod: Targeting Adjuster is a great choice here. This gives a small boost in your aim assist making your bullets more likely to hit the target.
Conclusion: The Fire and Forget isn’t a meta pick for a PVP heavy ammo weapon with other options like rockets, grenade launchers, and eager edge swords being the more common choices. Regardless, this weapon would still pack a punch and give you a great option for a long range guardian killer.
The Fire and Forget is a strong contender for any PVE enthusiasts with it being crafted, stasis, and having the Veist Stinger Origin Trait. While not being the meta pick for PVP it’s still a choice should you want something to take out the enemy from range.
