The Graviton Through The Ages quest in Destiny 2 is a post-campaign mission that you need to complete to unlock the Graviton Spike Exotic hand cannon. However, you don’t get to start this quest immediately. You first need to complete the Edge of Fate campaign before you can start the next quest to unlock the hand cannon.

Once you meet the requirements, you can head to the Altar of Relativity to start the quest. With over 15 steps needed to complete, this mission can be a bit confusing. With that said, here is a Destiny 2 Graviton Through The Ages walkthrough you can check out.

How To Complete Graviton Through the Ages Quest in Destiny 2

Speak to Lodi

Your first goal is to travel to Caldera social space on Kepler and find Lodi. He will be the NPC who will help you navigate through the quest. Lodi will be moving around the map. However, you will most likely find him if you look to your right. He can be spotted on a raised platform near the center of the map.

Speak With the Emeritus

Your next goal is to speak with Emeritus in the Caldera. It’s the same area, so you should not have any trouble finding this NPC. You can find him at the central monument in Caldera. He will task you with traveling to the Outer Steppes. In there, you will need to find the weapons piece using your Rosetta upgrade.

Find the Location of the Weapon Piece in Outer Steppes

The next objective is to triangulate the location of the weapon piece using the Rosetta device in the Outer Steppes. This one is pretty straightforward. Simply follow the quest markers using the Mattermorph. It will lead you to the Outer Wastes, where you need to spot a tower to your left.

A Rosetta Sentry Minotaur will be waiting for you. You need to defeat it to proceed to your destination. Once you do, head to the nearby terminal and interact with it.

Find the First Weapon Piece

Next, you need to find the lost Department of External Observations weapon piece within the search area. After interacting with the terminal, you’ll be able to track your objective. Simply follow the quest markers.

Eventually, you’ll reach an area with an Exile Pylon. Use your Matterspark to power it up and activate a device that can help you reach the next area. Once you are inside, you should see another Exile Pylon. Use your Matterspark again to unlock a door. Head through the door and you’ll find the first weapon piece.

Speak With the Emeritus

Now that you have the first piece, speak with The Emeritus in the Caldera and ask for your next objective. He will ask you to head to the Gorge and follow the same procedure as you did last time.

Find the Location of the Weapon Piece in The Gorge

Just like before, you need to triangulate the location of the weapon piece using the Rosetta Device in The Gorge. Make your way to an area called The Stellar Stink. Use your Mattermorph to find the way to your next objective.

A Rosetta Senty will be guarding the area. You need to defeat it before you can interact with the terminal. This will lead you to your next step.

Find the Second Weapon Piece

Your next goal is to find the lost Department of External Observations weapon piece within the search area. The second weapon piece should be marked on your map. Simply follow the markers until you reach an area where you need to use your Matterspark to enter.

You’ll eventually come across a small puzzle sequence. All you need to do is grab the Mattermorph upgrade and head back to the path you first entered. Use the Mattermorph in the tunnel that’s now blocking the path.

Head back to the tunnel and find a gap in the wall. Use your Mattermorph to remove the panel and gain access to a weapon piece.

Speak with Lodi

Once you have the weapon piece, you need to head back and speak with Lodi in Caldera. He will explain your next objective. Your next goal is to head to Exile’s Accord for the final weapon piece.

Find the Location of the Weapon Piece in Exile’s Accord

Just like before, you need to triangulate the location of the weapon piece using the Rosetta Device in Exile’s Accord. The tracker will lead you to Augur’s Bethel. Simply follow the markers and get into a subway train. The marker will lead you to a room with a Rosetta Sentry. Defeat it and interact with the terminal.

Find the Third Weapon Piece

What you will do next is to find the lost Department of External Observations weapon piece within the search area. Follow the waypoint until you reach a vent. Nearby, you’ll find a Relocator. Use it to aim inside the vent and fire at the pad. Doing so will activate a portal, transporting you directly to the location of the third weapon piece.

Speak With the Emeritus

Once you have your third weapon piece, you need to speak with the Emeritus in the Caldera. He will then ask you to track down the final piece by taking down some Vex.

Collect Data Fragments

The process is different this time. Your next goal is to collect Data Fragments from defeated Vex. Keep killing your targets until you reach 100% progress. Once you have completed the data collection, you can proceed to the next task.

Find the Final Weapon Piece

Once you have enough Vex Data, you will then head to the Aionian Campus. Once you are in the location, you will first need to open up a way. To do that, you need a Relocator. You can find one inside a nearby open section along your path. Look for a caged area where you will spot the Relocator you need.

To grab it, you need to find a Mattermorph. In the same area, find a nearby pipe that’s standing upright. Take a peek inside the pipe to find a Mattermorph. Activate the ability and use it on the highlighted structures to clear a route to the cage. Once it’s unlocked, grab the Relocator and use it to create a portal leading to the final weapon piece.
