New Land Beyond in Destiny 2 is an exotic sniper rifle. This article explores how you can unlock and use it.

Destiny 2 players have long asked for the old exotic weapons to make a comeback as part of future updates. And this has perhaps urged Bungie to launch a wide range of exotics from Destiny 1 into the latest iteration. Although these are weapons that were present in the earlier game, most of them undergo some change to their stats and even to their names.
The New Land Beyond exotic sniper rifle is just one such weapon that has made its way into Destiny 2. Known as No Land Beyond in the earlier game, this exotic is one you’d like to add to your collection. In this guide, we’ll explore how you can get the New Land Beyond in Destiny 2 and the stats of the exotic.
How To Unlock New Land Beyond in Destiny 2

If you’re trying to get the exotic sniper rifle in your inventory by simply playing the game, that won’t work. For now, you can only get the weapon when you preorder the Year of Prophecy Ultimate Edition for Destiny 2, which costs a whopping $99.99. There are no alternative ways to acquire the weapon in-game besides spending all that cash. Aside from the exotic sniper rifle, the bundle will also get you the full year of updates and expansions that Destiny 2 is set to receive.
Sadly, this isn’t the first time that Destiny 2 players have been paywalled for certain exotic weapons. For instance, you needed to preorder The Final Shape to get Tessellation, and preordering Lightfall was the only way to unlock the Quicksilver Storm exotic. When you claim the New Land Beyond weapon, it’ll drop with pinnacle power levels.
The Year of Prophecy Ultimate Edition also gets you some cosmetic items, such as layered armor that’s based on iconic villains from the Star Wars franchise. You’ll also receive a new emote, emblem, and Ghost Shell. The Edge of Fate expansion drops on July 15, 2025, and that’s when you can expect to grab the exotic weapon and other goodies from the Year of Prophecy Ultimate Edition pass for Destiny 2.
