Destiny 2 Pro Memoria Machine Gun

This guide has been updated for Episode: Echoes and The Final Shape expansion.

Pro Memoria is a strand aggressive frame machine gun introduced in The Final Shape expansion. You get your first Pro Memoria by playing through the Final Shape post-campaign missions and can get it at random drops in the Pale Heart destination afterward. Pro Memoria is the first of its kind and is a powerful addition to any guardian’s arsenal. It is a hard-hitting machine gun with a substantial rate of fire.

The best perks for the Pro Memoria PVE God Roll are Arrowhead Brake, Appended Mag, Reconstruction, and Desperate Measures. These provide important stats, utility, and damage for the weapon.

The following list is the best perks for the Pro Memoria PVE God Roll in Destiny 2:

  • Barrel: Arrowhead Brake
  • Magazine: Appended Mag
  • Column 3 Trait: Reconstruction
  • Column 4 Trait: Desperate Measures
  • Masterwork: Handling
  • Origin Trait: Dealer’s Choice
  • Weapon Mod: Back-Up Mag

Perks that increase our handling and ammo capacity will always be great on a machine gun. This makes perks like Arrowhead Brake and Appended Mag easy choices. Reconstruction is a great perk to have on almost any weapon for an even better ammo economy. You could opt for Envious Assassin, but your mileage with that perk will vary on a machine gun. There are several great options in Column 4, so you can’t go wrong. Desperate Measures is my recommendation, but something like Frenzy or Dragonfly is also a great option.

Machine Guns are always great options in PvE and the new aggressive frame is quickly becoming a favorite of mine. Pro Memoria combines the fast fire rate of rapid-fire frames with the more hard-hitting rounds of adaptive frames. It is a worthy addition to any arsenal.

The best perks for the Pro Memoria PVP God Roll are Arrowhead Brake, Ricochet Rounds, Demolitionist, and Tap the Trigger. These provide important stats, utility, and damage for the weapon.

The following list is the best perks for the Pro Memoria PVP God Roll in Destiny 2:

  • Barrel: Arrowhead Brake
  • Magazine: Ricochet Rounds
  • Column 3 Trait: Demolitionist
  • Column 4 Trait: Tap the Trigger
  • Masterwork: Handling
  • Origin Trait: Dealer’s Choice
  • Weapon Mod: Quick Access Sling

As with PvE, it is very important to get the Pro Memoria’s handling stat up as much as possible, making Arrowhead Brake a great option here still. We want to get our range up a bit as well so Ricochet Rounds is another good option for PvP rolls. In PvP, the traits aren’t as important on heavy weapons in general and even less so on machine guns, but we can still get some decent bang for our buck with the right options. Demolitionist helps with grenade up time while Tap the Trigger makes sure our first couple of shots stay on target.

Machine guns are just as powerful in PvP as they are in PvE. They are a great option for getting several kills in quick succession. While not guaranteed like several explosive weapon types, their ammo economy makes them very forgiving. It is very easy to get two or even three easy kills with this weapon.

How to Get the Pro Memoria in Destiny 2

You obtain the Pro Memoria from activities in the Pale Heart. To start getting the Pro Memoria to drop, you must complete the post-campaign quest “Convalescence: Underbrush” from Micah-10. After that is complete it can drop randomly from any Pale Heart activity. You can focus the weapon at the Ghost vendor at the Lost Tower in the Pale Heart. Pro Memoria can be crafted once you acquire 5 Deepsight Patterns.
