Phaseglass Refractions are one of the many new destination materials that The Edge of Fate expansion brings to Destiny 2. You’ll need to collect plenty of these if you want to take advantage of the Focused Decoding system at Kepler’s Altar of Relativity. You will come across Phaseglass Refractions throughout Kepler, but not at first.

For the initial few hours into the expansion, you won’t see any of them. Don’t let that confuse you. You just need to progress further into the story to gain access to them. In this guide, we’ll explain exactly where you can get the Phaseglass Refractions in Destiny 2 The Edge of Fate.

How To Farm Phaseglass Refractions in Destiny 2 The Edge of Fate

You will find Phaseglass Refractions in The Gorge area of Kepler. The resource is pretty easy to identify, as they are white crystals that jut out of surfaces. Unfortunately, you can only access The Gorge area after finding two Strangelets as part of The Edge of Fate campaign. You won’t be able to enter The Gorge before this crucial point in the expansion’s story. That’s why you won’t find any of the Phaseglass Refractions before reaching this stage.

But once you can access The Gorge, make sure you have a Wombo Detector handy. Equip it, and it should highlight all of the resources in your vicinity, so you’ll never miss out on any of the available Phaseglass Refractions. You’ll want to maximize your stockpile of the material since it will prove highly useful in the long run.

You will need this particular destination material to focus Kepler gear at the Altar of Relativity. While Phaseglass Refractions are one of the destination items you can use to focus engrams, the requirements change daily. So, you need to collect equal quantities of other destination materials as well. However, simply having these destination materials won’t help you attune yourself to certain gear.

For that, you’ll also require Fated Ciphers. You can get these by completing random activities across Kepler, finishing Time Latch missions, and taking on The Sieve activity whenever it’s available.
