In this guide, we’ll explore how you can open the Dark Academia door in Destiny 2 The Edge of Fate to complete a quest.

The Edge of Fate DLC is now available to Destiny 2 players. It not only introduces a brand-new location called Kepler but also offers a ton of new content. Besides the DLC campaign, however, you’ll also get to experience and play through a myriad of interesting side quests. One such side quest is dubbed Dark Academia, and it’s causing some confusion among players. While the quest itself is pretty straightforward, many players might struggle to open a particular door as part of the quest.
In this guide, we’ll explore how you can access the Dark Academia door in Destiny 2 The Edge of Fate.
Opening the Dark Academia Door in Destiny 2 The Edge of Fate

The Dark Academia quest will take players to the Augur’s Bethel location. However, before you can proceed, you will come across a locked door with a shielded pylon nearby. At first glance, you might feel that there isn’t any way to get through. However, the trick is to destroy three blue fuses in the area. Here’s how you can proceed:
- 1st fuse: Take a right while facing the door and go down the ramp. There, you’ll find the blue fuse inside a vent, and you can simply shoot and destroy it.
- 2nd fuse: Next, head to the second floor of the room you’re in. Now, grab the Mattermorph here and head back downstairs. You will have to find a panel on the wall, which you can open with the Mattermorph ability. The second fuse is inside, so go ahead and destroy that one too.
- 3rd fuse: Reach the second floor while Mattermorph is active and take a right from the platform. In front of you will be a pipe where you can use Mattermorph to reveal the last fuse.
Now that all the fuses are down, the shielding around the pylon by the door is gone. However, you’ll still have to overcharge the pylon to open the Dark Academia door in Destiny 2 The Edge of Fate. For that, you’ll require Matterspark. You can grab Matterspark from one of two possible locations here. The first option is to get it from above the train car. The other option, and the one we prefer, is to grab it from above the second floor near the pipe flooring. With Matterspark active, you can zap the pylon, and the door will fly open.
