Here is what you need to know about the Diablo 4 content roadmap for 2025, including the release of the game’s second expansion.
Blizzard gave fans a sneak peek of what the upcoming content in Diablo 4 will be via its 2025 roadmap. The preview showed seasonal content starting with Season 7. Content listings include four seasons’ worth of updates, an IP collaboration, and a second anniversary event. On top of the seasonal content updates, Blizzard also shared a bit of news about Diablo 4’s second expansion.

What You Need To Know About Diablo 4 Content Roadmap for 2025
Season 7: Witchcraft
The Diablo 2025 roadmap starts with Season 7, titled Witchcraft. The update is set for release between January and April 2025 and features content like Witchcraft Powers, Headhunts Activity, Occult Gems, and an earnable Raven pet.
On top of the seasonal content, it will also feature permanent additions like the new armory and Whispers quality-of-life updates.
Season 8: Bellial’s Return
The next season update, Belial’s Return, is set for an April to July 2025 release window. The content includes Boss Powers, Apparition Incursion Activity, and another earnable Feline pet. Additionally, this season will feature a new IP collab and a 2-year Anniversary event.
As for the permanent additions, Season 8 will include new lair bosses, namely Belial, Urviar, and Harbinger. Furthermore, the update will include some quality-of-life improvements for lair bosses, along with Reliquaries and the Season Journey update.
Season 9: Sins of the Horadrim
Season 9 is set for a July to September 2025 release. The season will include Horadric Powers, Dungeon Escalation, and an unannounced earnable pet. Additionally, permanent additions like new Nightmare Dungeon activities and console Keyboard and Mouse (KB&M) support were also mentioned.
Season 10: Infernal Chaos
As for the final season revealed in the 2025 roadmap of Diablo 4, titled Infernal Chaos, it is set for a September to December release. The seasonal content includes Chaos Powers, an Infernal Hordes update, and another unannounced earnable pet. Additionally, the roadmap also revealed that Season 10 will include a new IP collab.
Diablo 4 Second Expansion Set for 2026 Release
On top of the Diablo 4 2025 roadmap, Blizzard’s official announcement also hinted at the release date of the game’s second expansion. While the exact release date is yet to be revealed, the second expansion of Diablo 4 is said to arrive sometime in the year 2026. Based on the roadmap sneak peek, it would include content such as a new ranking system and leaderboards.
