Horadric Spells are fully custom spells in Diablo 4, with many variants to add and buff your characters. You need 3 components for a Horadric Spell: Catalyst Infusions, Arcana. But the Seal of Control is an item separate from the buildup.

The Seal of Control is a Horadric Jewel that you can fit into your existing jewelry (Necklaces or amulets). And buff the Horadric spell with more stats and modifiers. Every Horadric jewel socket naturally provides 160 Armor and 8% Resistance to All Elements. Additionally, every unique item has its own set of modifiers too.

The Seal of Control provides 45% Control Duration and 30% Lucky Hit Chance if you have two or more Arcanas from the School of Control. Here’s how you can get the Seal of Control in Diablo 4.

Getting the Seal of Control is fully RNG, as you will have to farm Horadric tomes from Horadric Strongholds (Nightmare Dungeon) above Torment I difficulty. Horadric Tomes are consumables that will unlock random Horadric jewels to craft. To get the Seal of Control, you will have to unlock it from these tomes.

After you acquire the Seal of Control, you can craft it from the Horadric Lapidary in town. Crafting Horadric Jewels requires 15,000 gem fragments and 3000 Horadric Phials, and Seasonal Currency. The Seal of Control will automatically unlock in the Lapidary once you acquire it from the Horadric tome.

Conclusion

Farming your Horadric Knowledge might be a bit grindy, but the payback of Horadric spells is greater in any build you follow. The Seal of Control is useful for characters with a lot of disables and critical hit builds, plus the jewel will only take one of your gem slots, giving it even more value till the endgame in Diablo 4.
