The Ophidian Iris makes the Hydra one of the strongest summons in the game and is a must-pick for any Sorcerer in Diablo 4.
Uniques in Diablo 4 allow you to enhance and modify your build as you see fit. These are special weapons, armor, or accessories that you can equip, and all of them come with special abilities. These abilities serve to complement your build, helping you achieve the best builds. Each season brings in new Uniques to give you something to strive for, and Diablo 4 Season 9 is no different in that regard. Season 9 brings in a Unique item for each class, and if you’re a Sorcerer, the Ophidian Iris is the Unique item for you.
The Ophidian Iris is a new Unique Amulet introduced as part of this season. This Unique Amulet turns the Hydra summon into a core skill for the Sorcerer class. When using this summon, you bring forth the multi-headed creature. This creature then attacks the enemies for you, and each of these attacks explodes on impact. For each head above three that the Hydra would have had, it instead grows larger and deals 50-100% times increased damage.

How To Get Ophidian Iris in Diablo 4 Season 9
The Ophidian Iris, much like other Uniques in Diablo 4, is acquired as a loot drop in the game. The best way of acquiring this item as a loot drop is to farm the Uber bosses in the game. The Echo of Duriel, Echo of Andariel, and Harbinger of Hatred bosses have the highest chance of dropping the item. Farm these bosses as often as you can to get the Ophidian Iris.
To a lesser degree, you can also obtain the item by farming normal enemies or by opening chests. The RNG here is quite low, so you’ll have to put in quite the grind for this one.
