Why Should You Give Grim Favors to the Raven in Diablo 4?
When you turn in 10x Grim Favors to the Tree of Whispers, you’ll get to select from a list of Whisper Cache options. You can pick one of them and also earn a particular amount of XP for spending the Grim Favors here. Now, think of the Raven as a mobile unit that does the same thing but is available throughout any of the game’s major towns. You will still earn the same amount of XP when you give the Grim Favors to the Raven instead of the Tree of Whispers. However, the list of caches available with the Raven will likely differ from the ones available at the Tree of Whispers.
During your initial hours, the cache selection won’t matter as much, but as the game progresses, you will want to get items from specific caches and not others. With so many Ravens around across the different towns, you can get a wider selection from them than you can from simply browsing the Tree of Whispers.

How To Get Grim Favors in Diablo 4

You can check out the different activities on the map and get a brief description of the task, along with how many Grim Favors you might earn from each. The following are the Grim Favor-earning activities that are the quickest and easiest to complete.
- Harvest: 3x Grim Favors
- Invoke Rituals: 3x Grim Favors
- Clear Cellars: 1x Grim Favors
If there are many players, you can also farm the item from a World Boss or by taking down the Blood Maiden in Helltide. Both of these activities will earn you 5x Grim Favors each.
