Digging in Dig It just got a little more romantic. The Heart Shovel is here for Valentine’s Day. This event-exclusive tool is locked behind the Gift of Hearts, a special legendary item. It won’t be around forever. Once the event ends, so does your chance to grab it.
The Heart Shovel isn’t just another pretty pink tool. It has a unique passive ability that gives you a 50% chance of unearthing Heart Mutation items. These items hold more value, making your digs even more rewarding. However, its base stats might not impress experienced players.

Heart Shovel in Dig It
The Heart Shovel is only available during the Dig It Valentine’s event. You can’t buy it directly or find it through standard digging. Instead, you need to unlock it from a specific gift box in the Valentine’s Collection.
To get the Heart Shovel, follow these steps:
- Participate in the Valentine’s Event – The event is live for a limited time. Once it ends, the Heart Shovel will no longer be obtainable.
- Collect Gift Boxes – There are three gift boxes in the Valentine’s Collection. Each contains different event-themed rewards.
- Obtain the Gift of Hearts – This is the Legendary-rarity gift box. It is the only one that can drop the Heart Shovel.
- Open the Gift of Hearts – Once you have it, open it to receive the Heart Shovel.
Since the Gift of Hearts is a legendary-rarity item, it won’t be easy to get. You may need to grind for event rewards or use in-game trading to acquire it.
Heart Shovel Stats and Passive Ability
It is not necessarily the strongest tool in Dig It, but it has a unique passive ability that sets it apart.

Its passive ability gives you a 50% chance to dig up an item with the Heart Mutation. Mutations increase the value of items, and while some mutations are more beneficial than others, this effect makes the Heart Shovel useful for farming valuable items during the event.
Is the Heart Shovel Worth It?
If you are a new player, this is a solid event-exclusive tool. Its luck boost and passive ability make it a decent option for collecting better items.
If you are an experienced player, you may already have a stronger shovel with higher luck. The Heart Shovel doesn’t outclass top-tier tools, so you might only want it as a collector’s item.
Regardless of your skill level, this is a limited-time event reward. If you don’t get it now, you’ll have to rely on trades in the future, which may make it much harder to obtain.
