Even though the game does support crossplay, you cannot use it without a Shift account. Shift is an online account that you must have if you want to use Gearbox Software’s online gaming services. No need to worry, though. Creating this account is simple and absolutely free. To make a Shift account, you need to do the following:
- Go to Shift’s official website to create an account.
- You can make a new account or link an existing Steam, PS, EGS, or Xbox account.
- After entering your credentials, you will receive a confirmation code to your email. Enter that code to make your account.
