Does Fousey Have Bipolar Disorder?

Fousey has had various “manic episodes” that suggest he may be bipolar. In a viral clip from 2023, he admitted to being bipolar and depressed.

Kick streamer Yousef Erakat, aka “Fousey,” has faced quite a bit of backlash from the online community following his recent tirades. The streamer is currently facing a ban from the Stake.com-owned platform after he was seen making some wild comments (involving self-harm) live on stream. Many have speculated whether he may have bipolar disorder (also known as chronic depression).

For those unfamiliar with bipolar disorder, the National Institute of Mental Health describes it as a condition where an individual may experience an “extreme” range of moods (transcript via www.nimh.nih.gov):

“With bipolar disorder, the range of mood changes can be extreme. People with the disorder have episodes or unusually elevated moods in which the individual might feel very happy, irritable, or ‘up,’ with a marked increase in activity level. They might also have depressive episodes, in which they feel sad, indifferent, or hopeless, combined with a very low activity level.”

As for Fousey, he has clearly shown signs of having this mental disorder. Back in August 2023, a clip went viral where Fousey was seen crashing out in public, exclaiming that he was “bipolar,” had “depression,” and even attempted to take his own life. He said:

“I am bipolar and (have) depresssion. That, what you put into my head, made me wanna kill myself.”

What Did Fousey Say? Exploring Kick Streamer’s Ban

Fousey, one of the veteran YouTubers, has had a rough couple of years with streaming. His situation escalated to the point where he has reportedly been permanently banned from Kick after a series of outbursts. He was first banned following an incident during a livestream (October 30) where he attacked his ex-manager.

He subsequently got unbanned but has since received another ban, this time reportedly permanently. The latest ban appears to stem from a clip on November 3, 2024, in which he looked directly into the camera and controversially claimed that he would “shoot” himself. Self-harm violates Kick’s Community Guidelines, which led to his ban after this incident. For those curious, in the clip, he stated:

“They know, if they f*ck up, it makes me go bipolar. Look at my eyes! I’m going to shoot myself tonight live! Done!”

How Did Fousey React To The Ban?

Fousey has since reacted to the ban on his X.com account, claiming that it could cost him millions, hinting at a potential loss of his Kick deal. He also mentioned that he plans to “retire” from streaming. In the video, he said:

“I officially retire! Crown me before I’m dead! Legendary run! 14 years n***a! Time to smoke a joint and get my d**k sucked on the top of the boat!”

On November 4, 2024, he posted on his X.com community page, interacting with a couple of police officers. He stated that someone had doxxed him and revealed during their conversation that a few nights earlier, he had gone to a “psych ward.” He said:

“Two nights ago, ask the police department, I was in a psych ward. Fousey Yousef. They did this to me two days ago. Maam, two days ago I was sleeping in bed and I woke up with 15 guns in my face and lights. Someone called the cops and said I am going to kill my employees.”
