Vindictus: Defying Fate has released a demo, and lots of players are interested in playing the game in co-op.
Nexon’s latest game is an action RPG titled Vindictus: Defying Fate. The game currently has a demo available, where players can hop in to try out its various mechanics and chapters. The first Vindictus game was released in 2010, so it’s been roughly 15 years since we saw a game in the same universe.
Since the first Vindictus was primarily a co-op experience, fans might have expected the same from this game as well. However, there are a lot of differences between both games. For now, players can hop into the demo and try out a lot of missions and characters. Although the game does have co-op mechanics, it might be difficult to enable them. Here is how to play the game in co-op.

Defying Fate does have co-op, but this is not available for all missions. Moreover, the developers have listed the game under the Online Co-op category on Steam. In an FAQ (shown above), the developers also answered that the game will have multiplayer elements, and you will be able to interact with other players in the village area.
However, if you try to invite your friends to play with you, you might be unable to do so. This is because co-op is not available for every mission in the game.
How To Unlock and Play Co-Op in Vindictus: Defying Fate
You cannot play the main story in multiplayer. However, you can unlock multiplayer after completing Chapter 1, Episode 1. Once completed, you can start special side missions in multiplayer.
Still, there is no compulsion to play through these missions in co-op. You can attempt these in single player as well. Therefore, the developers offer a single-player story experience while also having co-op elements and content, so you can play with or without friends. This might come as a shock to players of the first Vindictus game, which was an MMO (massively multiplayer online).
