Banandium Chips are a currency in Donkey Kong Bananza which can be used at the Chip Exchange to buy Banandium Gems and Music Discs. The exchange is accessed by speaking with Chiptones, which can be found across the map starting with the Hilltop Layer.
However, the exchange’s price for buying a Banandium Gem with Banandium Chips increases with every purchase, going from 10 chips the first time to 100 chips the eleventh time and onwards.

Challenge Course Ruins
The fastest way to earn Banandium Chips is to participate in Challenge Course Ruins. Different challenges are present in each layer, and some are more efficient for Banandium Chips farming. All challenge courses can be repeated indefinitely, collecting all the Banandium Chips along the way.
Hilltop Layer Challenge Course
The Hilltop Layer features the ‘Spiked-Tide Slope’ Challenge Course, located on the northern side of the map as seen in the image above. You can complete the course within roughly two minutes and collect all 33 Banandium Chips during the race.
Canyon Layer Challenge Course
The Canyon Layer Challenge Course is located in the central hub and has multiple combat levels to clear. Begin the course and complete the first stage by defeating all the minor enemies. This should only take around 15 seconds and rewards you with roughly 17 Banandium Chips.
However, instead of continuing, press “Start Over.” Defeat the same enemies again and continue farming the challenge for all the Banandium Chips you need. Using this method in the Canyon Layer Challenge Course is the fastest way to farm Banandium Chips. Farming in this fashion for an hour will easily net you over a thousand Banandium Chips.

To earn Banandium Chips organically beyond challenge runs, you can continue to explore all the Layers thoroughly while progressing the story. Banandium Chips float above the surface and are hidden in the ground and walls as well. Defeating all the enemies surrounding a sinkhole and falling through it, deeper into the planet, also earns Banandium Chips.
