The titular gorilla in Donkey Kong Bananza embarks on an underground adventure to reclaim banana-shaped diamonds from thieving apes. Gold becomes an important resource on his journey to buy useful items like Banandium Gems and unlock challenge courses

Nintendo’s 3-D platformer also requires the player to save 17,000 gold after reaching the Forbidden Layer to continue the story. While you don’t need to search for it actively, there are several ways to farm gold whenever the need arises quickly.

Destroy Objects in the Environment

The most straightforward way to collect gold is to go into Kong Bananza mode and destroy every object you can in the environment. Most objects, including boulders and rocks, drop gold when destroyed. This is also a great way to find fossil maps and Banandium gem maps.

Once you’ve destroyed all objects in a level, you can leave through the Warp Gong and return. This will cause all the environmental objects to respawn, allowing you to farm gold indefinitely.

Treasure Chests

Treasure chests spawn throughout levels and often contain maps. They also frequently contain gold. If you’re having trouble finding treasure chests consistently, wear the Treasure Tie from the Lagoon Layer to boost treasure chest spawn rates by 10%.

Gold Spouts

As the name might suggest, Gold Spouts contain large quantities of gold. They can be easily identified by their glow and molten particles. Keep a lookout for Gold Spouts while exploring underground levels.

Gold-Mining Gear Outfit

An endgame item, the Gold-Mining Gear Outfit doubles all the gold you collect. However, you’ll have to significantly progress the story to unlock and use it. Unlock the outfit later in the game by meeting Pauline after the Ingot Isle Cave-In.

Elephant Bananza

The Elephant Bananza form is an alternative to Kong Bananza that is perfect for farming gold. While transformed, you can suck in terrain with its trunk, instantly collecting its loot. Upgrading the form further improves its gold collection capabilities. Unlock the form by visiting the Elephant Elder in the late game.

Bonus Stages

Bonus stages in the game are marked with gold-colored ruins. You can find them across the map, and they yield vast quantities of gold upon completion. Some of these stages also have tons of gold just waiting to be collected. Use Hand Slap or the Elephant Bananza form to collect all the gold quickly.
