Face off against Mad Mixer Remix for the second time in Donkey Kong Bananza from a pure platformer perspective using a cart.
There are several bosses spread out across the multiple layers on your journey toward the core of the planet. Among them, some make a return in a more enhanced form, with Mad Mixer being one of them. The battle will, however, play out in a similar manner, with a few more obstacles and added strength in the boss’s favor.

Beat Mad Mixer Remix in Donkey Kong Bananza
This boss battle will feature a refreshing game mechanic, adopting a pure platformer perspective as you circle around the boss, inflicting damage using projectiles you pick up along the way. You and Pauline will sit in a cart, rolling around the boss on tracks. On the path, there are two types of projectiles you can carry, one of them being explosives.
Phase 1
The boss will be in the center, protected by three different green shields that block incoming projectiles. However, there is a gap in the middle through which you can throw projectiles. You have the choice of breaking the shields with the projectiles, opening up more space to damage the boss, or simply using the gaps.
As you go around, it will occasionally shoot a line of three lasers. You will have to hop over each one in quick succession. The distance between the gaps allows you to jump and immediately make the next one without taking damage. The white balls can be used to deal heavy damage, while the black/red balls can be used as explosives.
Phase 2
Once you bring its health down considerably, the boss will strengthen its shields, making them larger and fully restored. The attack patterns, however, will not change, and you can continue to patiently collect projectiles and inflict damage. The only difference is that it will start hovering up and down to disorient your throwing angles.
Once you drain its health all the way to zero, the battle will end, and a cutscene will trigger.
