The Dragon Ball is a name so popular that even non-consumers of anime and manga content know about it. The manga series was written and illustrated by the late Akira Toriyama. He created a series that was not only popular but defined an entire genre. The tropes that are seen in today’s modern Shonen animanga titles were first seen in this series. Furthermore, the character designs were ahead of the time, and Toriyama’s world-building abilities were unmatched.

This was a series that quite literally put anime and manga on the map. This show garnered fans from all over the world, and this medium started getting recognition from Western countries. Since its inception, there have been various installments and movies that were released. The first-ever chapter was released back in 1984. Currently, the series has released a new installment called Daima, which has restored fans’ faith in the series.

It can be quite confusing to navigate around the series and, more importantly, identify the fillers. This article has all the filler episodes in Dragon Ball, Dragon Ball Z, and Dragon Ball Super. It is important to note that Dragon Ball Daima is canon. Furthermore, the series is ongoing, and all the episodes are canon at the time of writing.

Should You Watch the Filler Episodes?

In short, yes. It is highly recommended that new fans watch the filler episodes when watching this series. Most filler content that fans find these days are poorly executed. The Naruto series is infamous for its boring filler content. In this case, however, the filler content is quite entertaining. It gives fans some breathing room from the constant fighting and action. Things are always tense since characters are screaming and attempting to kill each other most of the time. Battles are a constant in this grand equation, which is the show.

These filler episodes take a slice-of-life route. Additionally, the lighthearted dialogues between characters make for a cozy viewing experience. One such example is the time when the characters appeared for a driving test. The chaos that ensued had great entertainment value. Not only does this give the audience a break, but it also makes the subsequent fight sequence more enjoyable. It also offers viewers a unique insight into a side of the combatants that they usually don’t get to see. These are some of the reasons why we recommend fans of the series to watch the filler episodes.
