A Bouquet for a Maiden is the closing story of Duet Night Abyss Chapter 1. It follows Psyche, a character you have probably grown attached to by now. She suffers from a sickness called Deterioration that turns Charons into Filthoids, and you are drawn into her final moments as things start falling apart.

You can only begin this story after finishing In the Depths of Winter and the side quest Dedicated Chef. Your Trial Rank needs to be 19 or higher, too. Once these are done, the quest starts near the theatre ticket booth, close to the Sanctuary fast travel point.

You expect Psyche to be there, but instead, the Outsider shows up. The quiet scene quickly turns into panic when screams come from Hypnos House. That is your signal to move fast and find out what went wrong.

How To Complete A Bouquet for a Maiden Story in Duet Night Abyss

Go to Hypnos House and talk to Snow. You learn that Psyche lost control and hurt Henrik before running away. Head inside and follow the boy downstairs to Henrik’s office. The room is a mess, and Henrik lies injured on the floor. After the cutscene, explore the office. You can find notes, letters, and a puzzle near the bookshelf that gives you more clues about what led to this point.

Once you are done, meet Snow and the Outsider again outside. The group decides to search near the city gates to find Psyche. The next part takes you to Lamenting Lake, and this is where things get tough. The strong winds slow you down and make movement tricky. Use rocks and crates for cover and avoid rushing forward.

You will also face Filthoid enemies hiding behind obstacles. You can take them out from a distance or use short bursts of melee attacks if you prefer close combat. Once you reach the Thawing Caverns, you will need to cross the floating ice. Wait for calm moments before jumping, because the wind can knock you into the water.

The final stage happens on a cliff overlooking the lake. Here, you fight Eclosioner, an aerial boss that moves fast and deals heavy AoE damage. During the Chrysalis of Broken Dreams phase, focus on the four wings. Destroy them one by one to reveal the weak point, then deal as much damage as possible before the cycle restarts. Keep repeating this until the boss finally goes down.

When the battle ends, Psyche awakens briefly, and you see the tragic outcome of the sickness. The story ends with her loss and opens the path to Chapter 2.
