Dying Light The Beast may tread very familiar ground, but its new Beast Mode is unlike anything we’ve seen before. With Beast Mode, Kyle Crane briefly channels his infected strength, wreaking havoc upon any and all standing in his path. The Beast Mode is a power fantasy unlike any other, and it comes with an extensive skill tree as well.

The whole process of entering Beast Mode, as well as unlocking many of its powerful skills, can be a fair bit complicated. If you’re having trouble understanding it, this guide is for you.

As stated earlier, Beast Mode sees Kyle Crane tap into his infected genes and briefly turn into a monster. You enter this mode by dealing and taking damage, as well as performing perfect dodges and parries. Now if you’re wondering how Kyle Crane is able to do all of this, you need to rewind the clock back to Dying Light The Following.

At the end of this DLC expansion for Dying Light 1, Kyle Crane was infected with the virus, and the game then turned him into a volatile before rolling the credits. Fast forward to The Beast, Kyle has been experimented upon for over a decade, and this has allowed him to tap into his dark side in a way he couldn’t before.

You unlock Beast Mode skills by defeating the Chimera bosses scattered around the map in Dying Light The Beast. Defeating the Chimera bosses gives you Beast points, which can then be used to unlock the Beast Mode skills in the skill tree. Simply open your inventory and head to the orange section of the tree.
