This article will be a walkthrough of the Buried Truths main quest in Dying Light The Beast and an overview of the objectives.
Buried Truths is another main quest in Dying Light The Beast. This quest involves Crane following up a lead with Olivia, which will then culminate in an epic boss battle against something known as the Chimera. This main quest will put everything you have learned to the test to keep up and defeat a powerful boss to get new rewards.
In this guide, we will be taking a closer look at all the objectives in the Buried Truths main quest. Find out how you can start the mission and what you can get for completing it.

Completing the Buried Truths Main Quest in Dying Light The Beast
These are all the main objectives in this main quest:
- Talk to Olivia.
- Find the Chimera.
- Kill the Chimera/Colossus.
Talk to Olivia
Catching up to Olivia is the first objective in this quest, and you can find her parked in a ranger park SUV at the Waste Water Treatment Plant. Get in her car, and a cutscene will play out, revealing it was her father who brought Kyle to the Baron. Olivia will then inform you about a nearby Chimera, and it is up to you to track it and put it down.
Find the Chimera
You can gain access through the left side of the plant and hop over some fences. There will be some infected lurking around, and we recommend ignoring them and pushing on. Rather than going through the main building, follow the objective marker to a greenhouse of sorts and jump down a hole. Below the hole, you can see a breakable piece of wood, which should be your landmark. Get through, and you will see a metal door, and right behind it is the Chimera.
Kill the Chimera
This is where the fun begins, since it is you against a Colossus and a few infected inside the arena. We recommend eliminating all the smaller infected first to avoid any problems later on while fighting the Colossus.
Bring whatever explosives you have to chip away at the health bar and some guns. The Colossus will have a few charge attacks that can’t be blocked, but you can get away by dodging. It will also have a ground pound attack that can knock you off balance. Once the Chimera is down, you will get the following rewards:
- 800 Old World Money
- 12,500 XP
- Co-op Lootbox (if played with a friend)
