The Leviathan Axe is an iconic weapon from the God of War franchise and was prominently featured in the Norse Saga. It is a weapon that can cut down enemies and be recalled once thrown from a distance. In Dying Light The Beast, the developers included a cool Easter egg that pays homage to this iconic weapon.

In this guide, we will be taking a look at how you can get the Leviathan Axe in Dying Light The Beast. It may not have its icy capabilities, but it can come back faster than you might expect.

To find the axe, head to the Nature Reserve Region at National Park. The search will go much faster and be more convenient if you head to the Misty Forest Resort. The axe is actually called the Ciupaga in-game, and it can be spotted on top of a door for display. Spotting it is the easy part; however, getting above the roof without being taken down by the infected is another conversation entirely.

The main entrance to the building is locked, and you will need to parkour all the way up to the top where the Ciupaga is located. We recommend that you install some mods, such as infinite stamina, to speed up the process.

Once you have the axe, equip it and start throwing it against the undead. It is worth noting that unlike the actual Leviathan Axe, the Ciupaga is not indestructible and can deteriorate over time. We recommend only using the axe when it is absolutely necessary.

Ciupaga Stats

These are some of the notable stats and characteristics of the Ciupaga:

  • 160 durability
  • 147 base damage
  • +10% Uncommon Craftparts loot
  • +20% Common Craftparts loot
  • +100% Throw Power

While it can be useful from afar, it can only be used a handful of times. The Ciupaga will eventually break after consistent use, and unlike most melee weapons, this cannot be repaired. The Leviathan Axe was a groundbreaking achievement in God of War, and it has made its way from killing gods to zombies in Dying Light The Beast.
