In this guide, we shall offer a few tips and tricks to help you survive the night in Dying Light The Beast.

The Dying Light franchise has always been a series of scary games, but you wouldn’t think so, not unless you step out and survive a night. It is when the sun sets that the world of Dying Light The Beast reveals its true colors. Dozens of zombies step out from hiding, taking over the streets in the dark. But these zombies are not what you should be afraid of; it is the volatiles.
Volatiles are the apex predators of the land in Dying Light The Beast. First introduced in the original Dying Light, volatiles are basically superhuman zombies that possess a terrifying degree of strength and agility. They are faster than you, stronger than you, and will hunt you down if they spot you. With these hunters of the night out and about, surviving the night is one of the hardest challenges in Dying Light The Beast, but that’s what we’re here to help with.
How To Survive the Night in Dying Light The Beast

Stick to the Roofs
The roofs are the safest place when venturing out into the world of Dying Light The Beast at night. The zombies swarm the streets, and the volatiles, too, will be running about on the floor. You may find them on certain rooftops as well, but the chances of running into them on the ground are much higher. If you’re on the rural end of the map, your best bet of surviving is to stay inside a vehicle and quickly drive to town.
Use Survivor Sense and Stealth
Sneaking around is essential if you wish to stay off the radar of the volatiles. The first thing you should do is unlock the stealth skill from the skill tree. This skill will make you harder to detect, making it easier to stay out of sight. Furthermore, make it a habit to use your survivor sense frequently. This ability will highlight all enemies within your vicinity, especially marking the volatiles. You can then plan your route and avoid the hunters of the night.
Also take note that the volatiles WILL spot your flashlight. No matter what happens, please don’t point one in their direction. If there’s one near you, quickly turn the flashlight off and use your survivor sense to navigate to safety.

Use Decoys
If you find yourself between a rock (volatile) and a hard place (also a volatile), your only way to survive is to use the decoys. Throw the decoy a little further away and watch the volatiles and zombies scurry away towards the distraction. Slowly sneak by and go where you need to. Do not run while you do so, as you risk drawing attention.
Evasion

If you’re caught, it is time to run. Your first course of action when detected is to find a rooftop. Scale up a roof and take as many parkour routes as possible. The volatiles are fast, but it is easy to evade them by simply taking complicated parkour routes. During the day, you also want to unlock as many safe zones as possible. This will give you checkpoints between areas, ensuring you never have to run long stretches without safety.
Why You Should Go Out at Night in Dying Light The Beast
With all we’ve told you about the volatiles, you may think it best to simply lock your doors and sleep in during the night. But going at night has one major benefit in Dying Light The Beast, one you can’t avoid if you wish to be at your best. Going out at night grants you double XP for everything you do.
You get double XP for killing zombies, completing quests, or something as simple as parkouring around. The nighttime gameplay is high-risk, high-reward, and is absolutely worth your while if you wish to level up fast and acquire all the powerful skills.
