Aiden Caldwell was front and center in Dying Light 2, and some are wondering if he is somewhere in The Beast.

Aiden Caldwell is a recurring character in the Dying Light series, and some fans are wondering if he is in the latest installment. While this new entry takes the gaming community back into the shoes of Kyle Crane, the protagonist of the first entry, Caldwell’s story is still far from over.
After the events of the second game, Caldwell is alive and left on his own to save the others from himself. In this guide, we will look at how Dying Light The Beast acknowledges the events in the second game and where his story goes next.

Is Aiden Caldwell in Dying Light The Beast?

While Aiden Caldwell was the protagonist of the second game, he is later revealed as the Beast in this entry. Aiden is another survivor who is infected, which grants him enhanced strength and speed. At the end of the second game, he was seen leaving the City due to his uncontrollable transformations.
In this entry, you will soon encounter Aiden transformed into the Beast during the Beast Within main quest. Kyle will chase him down after seeing him take down some soldiers in his beast form, and he will get him to revert back to his human form through his own plasma. Later, Aiden will be free from his beast state and explain to Kyle how it all went down.
Aiden will reveal that the Baron took advantage of his unstable state and his mutation to be further experimented upon. It all went down after he and Spike, Aiden’s mentor, attempted to rescue Kyle from captivity in the prologue but failed to escape themselves. The Baron didn’t waste any time and used him for experiments.
Working With Kyle Crane To Get Back at the Baron

In the climax of Dying Light The Beast, Kyle mounted a siege on the Baron’s fortress. All of his allies were present, including Aiden Caldwell. The duo took their revenge on the Baron and lived to tell the tale.
In the end, the GRE are grateful for Kyle and his friends for taking out the Baron, but his group swore to take the fight to them next. There is a strong likelihood that Crane and Caldwell will both be present in another Dying Light sequel. Perhaps both will be playable in some capacity as co-leads.
