Everything you need to know about Dying Light The Beast’s release date, including the countdown to launch, pre-load details, and more.

Dying Light The Beast, the next major release from Techland, is just a few hours away from its release. Announced back in 2024, The Beast left many fans wondering about its place in the Dying Light timeline. Although the game started development as an expansion (DLC) for Dying Light 2, it seems to share very little in common with its predecessor in terms of its narrative. Instead, Dying Light The Beast sees the return of Kyle Crane, the protagonist of the original title.
This immediately makes the game quite an intriguing prospect, especially for fans of the original Dying Light. Furthermore, with Dying Light The Beast, Techland aims to bring the best aspects of their previous titles under one umbrella.
Fortunately, fans won’t have to wait too long to experience the new chapter in Kyle Crane’s story. Here’s everything you need to know about Dying Light The Beast, including release timings, pre-load details, and more.

Dying Light The Beast is scheduled to release on September 18, 2025. Although the game was originally planned to be released back in August 2025, it got delayed by roughly a month. According to Techland, the delay was to give the Polish studio more time to optimize the game for current-gen systems. Although the game is also set to release on PS4 and Xbox One, Techland is currently only focusing on current-gen platforms.
That said, the developer has confirmed that they are hard at work on optimizing The Beast for PS4 and Xbox One. More details on those platforms will be revealed in the near future. In addition to that, Dying Light The Beast is also available at no additional cost to players who own the Ultimate Edition of Dying Light 2.
