Find and Talk to the Sheriff
To start the Vengeance is Mine main quest, you need to reach the location where the Sheriff has set up shop. Take on the undead head-on or carefully evade them as you make your way up. Be careful making your way up since this parkour section is much more challenging than the previous areas.
As you make it to the top, the Sheriff will inform you about the mine and has agreed to cover you as you head in. Safely descend and be ready to take on some armed guards on your way to the mine entrance.
Gain Entry to the Mine
Head down and immediately hide behind objects or use the nearby bush to hide from enemies. We recommend taking enemy assailants down quietly by strangling them for a cleaner way to get into the mine.
At the entrance, you will find that the door is locked, and you can open it by picking the lock. Your lockpicking skills must be on point, especially if you didn’t take down all the guards before heading to the door. There will also be a sniper in a remote area, and you can either get around and get the drop on them or stay out of their line of sight.
Investigate and Navigate the Mine
This part is the most challenging in the Vengeance is Mine quest, since you will be navigating a dark mine full of armed enemies and infected. You will need a gun to improve your chances of taking on these enemies from afar.
Keep working your way through the mine, and you will stumble upon the Baron’s Hub, with more of his men. After clearing the area, turn on the terminal at the center of the room. At this point, you will learn that the Sheriff has sold you out to the Baron in exchange for her people’s safety.
