You won’t be doing this alone, as He Jin will be joining you in this fight. However, this also means you can’t just charge forward and be a one-man army. You need to keep your allies in check, or you risk losing the battle if they lose too much morale.

Victory and Defeat Conditions
It is important to take note of your victory and defeat conditions so you will know your objectives in the game:
- You win the battle if you defeat the three commande—Han Xian, Li Yue, and Hu Cai.
- The miss fails if He Jin is forced to flee the battlefield.
Helping your troops press forward is crucial in this mission, as you will be outnumbered by the enemy forces. This means it will be a challenge to keep your morale up. Make sure you support your allies as much as possible.
Battle Preparation
You can always use weapons and gear you are comfortable with. However, a sword can be a good weapon to use in this mission. To further expand the reach of your sword, you can equip the Oblivion Gem. Alternatively, you can also use the Padao. The Palm Strike is a good Battle Art to have in every playthrough. It’s one of the most reliable attacks to use when trying to stagger or cancel enemy attacks. Additionally, you can also have Triple Tempest, Claw of the Predator, and Crawling Dragon Battle Arts.
Subjugation of White Wave Bandits Walkthrough
Before you can start this mission, you need to complete the Suppression of Jing Province Chapter 2 campaign. Afterward, you will be prompted to read a letter from Yunhua. You will then return to Ji City where the mission can start.
1. Defend the Village
Shortly after starting the mission, you will be informed that a village needs your help as there are not enough men to defend it. You will need to support your allies in the three markers shown on your mini-map.
2. Clear Large Force From the West
Move to the west of the map after defending the village. There will be a large wave of enemies in the area. While you’re at it, you can get Skill Points while clearing the area. Remember to assist allies when needed, so your troops won’t be overwhelmed.
3. Ride with He Jin to the Enemy Base
Join He Jin in advancing towards the enemy base in the northeast, where Hu Cai and his White Wave forces await. Be prepared for resistance from other significant foes in the area, such as Ji Ling, who will rain down arrows from a distance. Exercise caution and stay alert. You won’t be able to defeat Hu Cai entirely in this encounter. Once his HP drops to a certain level, he will retreat from the battlefield.
4. Advance to the Main Enemy Base
With Hu Cai out of the way for now, shift your focus to the main enemy base. This marks the final charge alongside Yuan Shao. Here, you’ll face Hu Cai once more, but this time, Han Xian, Li Yue, and a large army force will join the skirmish. You need to defeat the three main enemies to complete the mission.
