EA FC 26: Is Allianz Arena Confirmed

The Allianz Arena, home to Bayern Munich, the biggest club in Germany, was a glaring omission in the last few EA football games.

EA’s FIFA and EA FC franchises have always been about bringing the football you see on television to the palm of your hand. Everything you play in the game is a direct representation of what you see on TV. This is largely in part due to the game’s incredible face scan technology, licensed kits, teams, and stadiums. It is this incredible emphasis on presentation and authenticity that made the absence of the Allianz Arena stick out like a sore thumb over the years.

The Allianz Arena, home to Bayern Munich, the biggest club in Germany, was outright missing in the last few EA football games. This was especially a bummer for fans of the club, who simply wished to recreate iconic club moments in the beloved stadium. Instead, they had to settle for custom EA-made stadiums that had none of the charm of the Allianz Arena.

If you’re just like the fan we described above, we have good news. The Allianz Arena is back in EA FC 26, and it looks GORGEOUS with EA’s next-gen technology. EA FC 26’s latest trailer gave us a sneak peek of the Allianz Arena, and we can’t wait to play under the red banner once again.

Why Was Allianz Arena Missing in Past EA Games

As stated earlier, the Allianz Arena was missing past iterations of the EA football games. This is because Konami had acquired the rights to the likeness of the stadium for their eFootball series (formerly known as Pro Evolution Soccer). The Allianz Arena, as a result, found a home in the Konami games and stayed there till this year. The rights to the stadium’s likeness expired on June 26 this year, and EA has now grabbed it up.

Konami revealed they had lost the license for the Allianz Arena through a live update for eFootball. On the Jun 26 update, the game patched out Allianz Arena and replaced it with Konami’s original designs.
