EA FC 26 isn’t a particularly demanding game on the PC, which shouldn’t come as a surprise considering it’s a cross-gen game. However, much like some of the recent EA Sports releases, the game does have some performance-related issues, especially on budget GPUs. Much like the previous entries in the series, FC 26 is built using EA’s proprietary Frostbite engine. While Frostbite is usually quite optimized for most modern hardware, it does come with rather high VRAM requirements.

And this time around, EA Sports opted to use the DirectX 12 version of the engine, ditching support for all GPUs without Feature Level 12_0. That said, if you’re facing issues running EA FC 26, you can remedy most of them with just a few tweaks to the graphics settings.

Here’s a comprehensive PC optimization guide on EA FC 26, including the best settings to use.

We also recommend using either the Dynamic Resolution Scaler or DLSS/FSR to further boost the game’s frame rate. Furthermore, if you’re running the game on a GPU with 4 GB of VRAM, we highly recommend using an external frame rate lock. Ideally, you want to lock the frame rate to 60fps. However, if you’re getting stutters and averages below 60, it’s best to lock the game at 45 or even 30fps.
