Everdark Sovereign Nightlords are meant to be the most difficult challenge that Elden Ring Nightreign has to offer to its players. And even among all the Everdark Nightlords, the newly added Equilibrious Beast easily takes the place as one of, if not the most difficult boss. This shouldn’t really come as a surprise considering Equilibrious Beast was already one of the toughest bosses in Elden Ring Nightreign. However, with Everdark Libra, FromSoftware went all out and made it into an MMO raid boss, complete with multiple AOEs, projectile attacks, and a “pseudo-PvP” gimmick. Additionally, Everdark Libra also has access to another mechanic that lets it cast multiple curses on the Nightfarers randomly.

However, much like Everdark Augur’s Storm Ruler gimmick, Libra’s curses aren’t explained to players ahead of the boss fight. While you can still figure out the curses during the boss fight, it certainly isn’t an easy task. To help with that, here’s a comprehensive guide on all of Everdark Equilibrious Beast’s curses in Elden Ring Nightreign and how they affect the boss fight.

As you fight Everdark Equilibrious Beast, i.e., Libra, Creature of Night, the Nightlord will randomly cast various curses on you and your allies. These curses are essentially a short-lived version of the deals it offers during its event or at the start of the boss fight. As such, most of these curses usually apply a debuff on you and your allies, which you need to be mindful of while also keeping an eye on the boss itself.

However, certain curses also affect Libra, where the boss limits his HP, which can be used to your advantage. In the latter stages of the battle, Libra increases the frequency of the curses. Here’s a list of all the curses that Libra can cast during the boss fight:

  • A demon summons the Condemned: Summons mirror images of you and your allies (with different weapons).
  • A demon preaches madness: Embeds you and your allies with a Madness-inflicting eye, which deals constant Madness damage (build-up) for a short time.
  • A demon offers a challenge: Libra reduces his and your (and allies’) HP in half. Other stats are unaffected.
  • A demon incites a riot: Summons multiple Condemned but makes them attack you and one another.
  • A demon offers a false blessing: Bestows a debuff that grants unlimited healing flask uses. However, healing using the flasks takes away your levels. This curse can reduce up to 5 of your levels, bringing a Level 15 Nightfarer to Level 10.

Normally, you aren’t meant to counter Libra’s curses during this encounter. The curses serve as a way for the boss to offset his limited mobility and moveset. However, there are still ways to overrule some of Libra’s curses. For instance, you can easily kill the Condemned using weapons like Vyke’s Spear or the Sacred Relic Sword.

Furthermore, Incantations like Discus of Light and Flame of Frenzy work wonders in this boss fight. Additionally, if you find Libra casting the Madness-inflicting orb, you can counter its Madness build-up using Clarifying Boluses. Lastly, if you find Libra casting the False Blessing, you can simply use a Warming Stone to heal.
