Everything you need to know about the best Executor build and Relics for Everdark Tricephalos in Elden Ring Nightreign.

Everdark Tricephalos is easily one of the toughest Nightlords in Elden Ring Nightreign, easily surpassing the likes of Adel, Fulghor, and even Heolstor. At the same time, it’s one of the very few Everdark Sovereign Nightlords that don’t have any outlandish “gimmicks.” It’s a simple one-on-one boss fight that is manageable with almost any of the Nightfarers, albeit with a well-optimized Relic loadout.
The only catch here is that Tricephalos has very limited affinity-related weaknesses. Unsurprisingly, Executor can easily cut through the boss’s HP in no time. However, to do so, you will need Relics and passives that can help skyrocket Executor’s affinity damage.
Here’s a comprehensive guide on the best Executor build for Everdark Tricephalos in Elden Ring Nightreign.
Overview of the Executor Build for Everdark Tricephalos in Elden Ring Nightreign

Everdark Tricephalos is primarily weak to Holy. However, in its first phase, the boss is also weak to Bleed and Frost. And while in the second phase, Tricephalos gets higher affinity resistance, it can still be bled and frostbitten. Unfortunately, you won’t find any use for Poison in this boss fight, as Tricephalos is immune to that affinity.
As such, for the Executor build, we’re going to focus primarily on Bleed and Frost. Furthermore, while we did not use Holy for this build, you can do so. If you have access to a Holy Relic, you can use it alongside Bleed and Frost. Otherwise, we recommend using just Arcane buffs and Frost on starting armament.
If you’re using a third affinity (Holy recommended), it’s best to use a Relic with Chilling Mist instead of Frost on starting armament. That way, you will be able to use all three affinities on the same weapon. In addition to that, we have used survival-related passives as well in this Executor build. While these passives won’t help against Tricephalos’s attack up buff, they ensure you won’t die from chip damage.
Best Relics for the Executor Build

Night of the Fathom

- Flask also heals allies.
- Items confer effects to all nearby allies.
Night of the Miasma

- Changes the compatible armament’s skill to Chilling Mist at the start of an Expedition.
- Attack power up when facing a Frostbite-afflicted enemy.
Tips To Use the Executor Build Against Everdark Tricephalos

Here are some tips that will help you use the Executor build against Everdark Tricephalos in Elden Ring Nightreign:
- For Tricephalos, you primarily want to stack damage negation (physical and affinity) and affinity attack up passives. Other than that, Executor isn’t going to benefit from other passives. While the boss does have a few multi-hit combos, those don’t offer enough opportunities for counterattack via parries.
- Since most of your damage is going to come from affinity stacks, we recommend sticking with Katanas for your main armaments. Power-stancing isn’t necessary, and we recommend two-handing the starting Katana instead.
- As for weapons, the best choice is your starting armament, which you can upgrade to Epic via Smithing Stones or Legendary via the Crater.
- Unlike in the case of other Everdark Nightlords, most of Gladius’s attacks are telegraphed and are spaced apart. This means you will have fewer opportunities for guard counters and counterattacks.
- Furthermore, Executor’s Ultimate Arts isn’t going to help deal much damage to the boss either. Instead, you want to save for either a quick heal or to revive fallen allies.
- With this build, you primarily want to keep stacking affinity damage on the boss. Equipping Less Likely to be targeted helps a lot when you face this boss in co-op.
Additional Notes
For Executor, we found the Crater to be the best choice when it comes to Shifting Earth. While you can technically use Rotted Woods as well for the HP and affinity damage negation buffs, it won’t be of much help to Executor. Instead, Crater will allow you to upgrade your starting armament to Legendary, which grants a substantial boost to your overall affinity damage.
