Everything you need to know about the best Ironeye build for Everdark Fissure in the Fog in Elden Ring Nightreign, including Relics and more.

Everdark Fissure in the Fog, i.e., Caligo, Miasma of Night, is undoubtedly one of the toughest Everdark Sovereign Nightlords in Elden Ring Nightreign. While it’s still easier compared to Everdark Adel and even Augur, Caligo is still a formidable Nightlord, one that can easily one-shot you with her Frost attacks if you aren’t careful.
Surprisingly enough, Everdark Caligo is one of the few bosses in the game that seems to be more troublesome for ranged Nightfarers compared to melee ones. Not only does Caligo deal a ton of damage with her breath and AOE combos, but she also moves around the arena a lot. This makes it quite difficult to get a proper lock on the boss and deal consistent damage.
However, if you’re using Ironeye, you can still have an easier time with the boss, albeit with some clever tweaks to your Relic loadout. Here’s a comprehensive guide on the best Ironeye build for Everdark Fissure in the Fog in Elden Ring Nightreign.
Overview of the Best Ironeye Build for Fissure in the Fog in Elden Ring Nightreign

When it comes to Ironeye, the primary thing to focus on is Affinity Damage and Damage Negation passives. Furthermore, since you’re going to primarily use Bows and Greatbows, having Ranged Attack passives also helps a lot. For this build specifically, we’ve opted to focus on Defense and Survivability. We have used Augur’s Relic to boost Ironeye’s Vigor, and also Edge of Order to grant increased Bow Damage.
Additionally, we have worked in another Relic that grants defensive passives, which lets Ironeye take more damage before falling down. While we did not work a Fire Attack Up passive into the build, we do recommend using it instead of Edge of Order, if you have one.
However, you can still keep Edge of Order equipped for increased ranged damage. Do note that if you have a Relic with Fire of Starting Armament equipped, make sure to equip it in the slot before Edge of Order to take its passive precedent over the latter. Holy Damage isn’t going to help against Caligo. Ideally, you want to use Fire or Bleed.

Tips To Use the Best Ironeye Build Against Everdark Fissure in the Fog

Here are some tips to properly use the Ironeye build against Everdark Fissure in the Fog:
- With Ironeye, you always want to stay at medium distance from the boss and deal damage from range. Ideally, you want to use the charged attack of the Bow, which deals significantly high poise damage. However, with an elemental Bow, using regular attacks also works.
- If you’re using your starting weapon with Fire affinity, make sure to upgrade it to Epic rarity before Day 3. Additionally, we highly recommend picking up Improved Ranged Attack, Improved Physical Damage Negation, Improved Affinity Damage Negation, and Reduced Projectile Drop-Off passives.
- The first phase of Everdark Caligo is quite easy to manage, as it’s basically identical to the regular Fissure in the Fog. The second phase, however, is a different story. At the start of the second phase, you want to run as far away as possible from the boss, in order to avoid getting hit by the AOE.
- In the second phase, you also want to stick close to Caligo’s head and deal Fire damage to it. Also, always remember to apply the Mark on the Nightlord, which will help you and your allies deal bonus damage to Caligo.
Additional Notes
While it’s not necessary, having the Mountaintop Shifting Earth active and using its boon can help a lot against Everdark Fissure in the Fog. Additionally, if you have free Relic slots available, we do recommend equipping Ultimate Art Cooldown buffs. That way, you can use Ironeye’s Ultimate Art more frequently.
