When Is Deep of Night Coming To Elden Ring Nightreign?

The Deep of Night mode is scheduled to go live on September 11, 2025. The game mode will be available with the next title update and will be available to all players at no additional cost. According to FromSoftware, “Deep of Night is a high-difficulty challenge mode designed for seasoned players who have navigated through the Night many times.” Judging from the mode’s description, it can be speculated that Deep of Night will function similarly to the Everdark Sovereign. As such, we can expect similar restrictions, like mandatory online connectivity and bosses being primarily scaled for co-op. Furthermore, the mode also seems to employ a “rating” system.
However, FromSoftware has not mentioned any specific details regarding said “ratings.” The biggest and perhaps the most appealing aspect of Deep of Night is its increased focus on randomization and new loot. In Deep of Night, players cannot choose a specific Nightlord. Instead, once players descend into the mode, they will have to face a randomly selected Nightlord and will have to adjust their builds on the fly accordingly. Furthermore, in Deep of Night, weapons will feature multiple passives, instead of just one.
However, to balance that, the passives will be accompanied by a detrimental effect, i.e., a debuff. Additionally, as players descend further into the “Depths,” the game’s difficulty will increase as well. This is perhaps hinting at the Everdark Nightlords being part of the Deep of Night’s boss roster.

Does Deep of Night Have Any Exclusive Rewards?
Yes, Deep of Night will feature Depths Relics, which can only be used in this specific game mode. These Relics essentially allow you to equip up to 6 Relics on your Nightfarer. The Depths Relics essentially grant you additional bonuses to balance out the ever-increasing difficulty of the Depths. It should be noted that the Depths Relics cannot be used for regular and Everdark Sovereign Expeditions.
