With update 1.02 now live, the last batch of Everdark Sovereign bosses is finally being deployed in Elden Ring Nightreign. The latest of these “hard mode” Nightlords is Equilibrious Beast, i.e., Libra, Creature of Night. Following in the footsteps of previous Everdark Sovereign Nightlords, Equilibrious Beast comes packed with a host of new abilities and combos for its second phase.

Unlike Augur or Sentient Pest, Libra doesn’t have a separate health bar for his second phase. However, he does feature a rather unique gimmick, which is very reminiscent of bosses like Looking Glass Knight (Dark Souls 2) and The Old Monk (Demon’s Souls).

Here’s everything you need to know about the Everdark Equilibrious Beast in Elden Ring Nightreign, including its release date, new abilities, and more.

Everdark Sovereign version of Equilibrious Beast is scheduled to arrive on August 14, 2025, at 3 AM CEST. The new Everdark Sovereign will replace Everdark Caligo as the new primary Expedition. Additionally, the weekly rotation will also replace Everdark Sentient Pest with Everdark Gaping Jaw. Since the new Everdark Nightlords have been added as part of update 1.02, you won’t need to install an update to access the Everdark Sovereign.

However, to play the Everdark Expeditions, an online connection is mandatory. Furthermore, similar to previous Everdark Sovereigns, Everdark Libra, and Creature of Night will only be available for a week.

However, the Nightlord will return in future weekly resets of the Everdark Expeditions. As for the newer version of Libra, you need to be prepared with a potent build to stand a chance at victory. Madness Resistance is necessary, but not mandatory.

Most of Libra’s attacks are physical and don’t inflict nearly as much Madness damage as its regular counterpart. However, it does come equipped with new abilities, such as summoning a Night Invader or limiting Nightfarer’s HP.

What’s New With Everdark Equilibrious Beast?

Everdark Libra is mostly similar to its regular counterpart. However, it doesn’t use Madness-inflicting attacks all that often. Instead, the boss uses different demon curses to debuff you and your allies. It can limit the party’s HP for a certain time, summon Night Invaders, and trap Nightfarers within walls of light.

The regular Libra was already designed like an MMORPG boss. However, with Everdark Sovereign, FromSoftware has gone all out on making the boss more unpredictable.
