While the Soulsborne games have always flirted with core roguelike elements such as death and revival, they have never fully committed to the idea – that is until Elden Ring Nightreign came out. Elden Ring Nightrein is a spin-off multiplayer roguelike game that throws you into the lands of Limveld to survive three days and beat a Nightlord.

In traditional roguelikes, you participate in “runs.” Runs are sessions, essentially, where you drop into levels, go as far as you can, and defeat the bosses at the end. Elden Ring Nightrein operates much the same way. You drop into Limvelt, kicking off the run with Day 1.

You then proceed through the map, fighting off enemies, and then the boss at the end. Beating the boss at the end of the day is not the end of the run. You then move on to Day 2, and subsequently to the Nightlord in Day 3. A run in Elden Ring Nightreign, therefore, is split across three days.

With so many days to play through, you may believe a run to be a huge time sink. Thankfully, the runs don’t last that long in Elden Ring Nightrein. If you wish to know how long a run lasts in the game, read below to find out.

As stated earlier, a run in Elden Ring Nightreign stretches across three days. The first two days of your run take about 15-20 minutes each on average. The time your run takes depends greatly on how long you take to beat the boss at the end of each day.

Once you’re through with the two days, you’re then thrown into the third day with no exploration. You only have to fight the Nightlord you picked when commencing the expedition. Additionally, defeating the Nightlord takes about 20 minutes or so. The time you take to beat the boss depends on your level, your gear upgrades, and the general skill level of your team.

The total time to beat an Elden Ring Nightreign run, therefore, can be anywhere between 45-60 minutes. This, of course, does not account for runs where you are defeated early on. The time we’ve stated is only for successful runs.
