The original Elden Ring had some of the toughest bosses ever seen in gaming. The bosses were absolutely brutal, punishing with fast and aggressive movesets, giving little to no room to breathe. Other bosses were quite deceptive and unpredictable with their moves. The Bell Bearing Hunter was one such boss, using an unpredictable moveset with deceptively long range.

Now, the Bell Bearing Hunter is back in Elden Ring Nightreign, and is better than ever. The boss has a massive HP pool and dishes out far more damage than he takes. If you wish to beat him, you have to stay on your toes and know when to exercise patience and action. This is a tough boss to beat, but we’re here to walk you through it. In this guide, we shall go over how to beat Bell Bearing Hunter in Elden Ring Nightrein.

The Bell Bearing Hunter is one of the Night Bosses you find in Elden Ring Nightreign. In our experience, we’ve fought this boss commonly at the end of Day 1 during the Tricephalos expedition.

The boss has a massive HP pool, meaning fighting him often turns into a battle of attrition. He retains all moves you’ve seen from Elden Ring, which are then enhanced with extra damage. Since you and your team are likely to have a small HP bar at the end of Day 1, this boss can easily kill you in 3 hits if you’re not careful. If you wish to take on this boss, we recommend being at Level 6 at the very least.

The Bell Bearing Hunter has no specific weaknesses to exploit, so beating him comes entirely down to your skill level and coordination. That is not to say that he does not have behavioral flaws that you can exploit.

The boss walks slowly and rarely lunges at any enemy. He compensates for this by throwing his sword at you. But before he does so, he slowly walks towards his target to get in range. Your goal as a team is to assign one player to grab his attention from a distance. Once your teammate is away and has garnered attention, the boss will slowly walk towards them. Use this opening to rush the boss and attack from behind.

Furthermore, the boss’s attacks are mostly front-focused. If you’re close to him, your safest bet for dealing damage would be sticking to his back as often as you can. But don’t lower your guard because he does have one attack where he swings his blade in a 360-degree sweep. Watch for this attack, and deal damage to his back to achieve victory.
