Everdark Sovereign Nightlords are meant to be the pinnacle of challenge that Elden Ring Nightreign has to offer. Despite that, bosses like Everdark Augur, Fulghor, Gnoster, and Caligo ended up feeling way too easy, even when compared to their regular counterparts. This was mostly due to these bosses introducing “gimmicks” that ended up overpowering most of their attacks. And in the case of Caligo, the Mountaintop Shifting Earth basically trivialized the battle. However, that’s not the case with Everdark Equilibrious Beast, i.e., Libra, Creature of Night. This is one of the best examples of Everdark Sovereign Nightlords done right.

The regular version of Libra was already one of the most challenging Nightlords in the game, only seconded by Heolstor himself. However, Everdark Libra far surpasses his regular counterpart. Thankfully, there’s a way to easily defeat the boss, but only if you know how to counter his new “gimmick.” Here’s a comprehensive guide on how to easily defeat Everdark Equilibrious Beast in Elden Ring Nightreign.

Everdark Equilibrious Beast always starts the battle in his regular phase, where he also has reduced defenses. As such, if you play your cards right, you can dish out a ton of damage in the very first phase. However, do note that if you or any of your allies make a deal with Libra, it will contribute towards buffing the boss. In the second phase, however, Libra can stay in a “perma-buff” state. However, there’s a catch to this. In the second phase, Libra also summons Condemned, which are mirror images of you and your allies’ Nightfarers, albeit with different weapons (sort of like the Mimic Tear). If you defeat these bosses, Libra will lose his defense buff.

However, if the Condemned stay alive long enough for Libra to cast another curse, the Nightlord will get a substantial buff, temporarily. This loop can repeat until Libra or the Nightfarers die, ending the Expedition. During the second phase, Libra can cast different curses randomly. Here’s a list of all the curses we faced so far:

  • A demon summons the Condemned: Summons mirror images of you and your allies (with different weapons).
  • A demon preaches madness: Embeds you and your allies with a Madness-inflicting eye, which deals constant Madness damage (build-up) for a short time.
  • A demon offers a challenge: Libra reduces his and your (and allies’) HP in half. Other stats are unaffected.
  • A demon incites a riot: Summons multiple Condemned, but makes them attack you and one another.

Do note that these are only the curses that we faced while fighting Libra. There can be more such curses that we did not face before killing off the Nightlord. We will be updating this article with more information regarding the curses in the coming days.

Weaknesses of Everdark Equilibrious Beast

Ideally, for Equilibrious Beast, you want to use Frenzy, which is easier said than done since Frenzy weapons are incredibly rare. However, there are other affinities that can also deal bonus damage to Libra. Fire and Holy, for instance, deal a ton of extra damage to the boss. Furthermore, Libra can be afflicted with Frostbite and Scarlet Rot as well. As for the ideal Nightfarer(s), you want to bring something that’s “tanky” enough to not go down on a couple of hits. Raider, Wylder, and Guardian are a great choice for this Nightlord. Additionally, hitting Level 14-15 is highly recommended.

Here are some tips that will help you easily defeat Everdark Equilibrious Beast in Elden Ring Nightreign:

  • Everdark Libra might look like a straightforward boss fight, but it certainly isn’t one. Trying to brute force the boss will only result in death. Instead, similar to Everdark Augur, you need to fight Libra on its terms.
  • In the second phase, as soon as Libra summons the Condemned, focus on splitting from your team and try to take aggro from the summoned NPCs. You need to defeat the Condemned as fast as possible so that Libra doesn’t get buffed.
  • Once the Condemned are down, focus on Libra until he summons another batch of Condemned. At this point, Libra is likely to cast another curse. If you see Libra charging a huge Holy attack, run away from the boss and regroup with your allies.
  • Once you see Libra cast, A demon incites a riot; this is the time to focus your attention on the boss. Do note that at this point, Libra can curse himself and the Nightfarers with the HP debuff as well.
  • Everdark Libra is a very lengthy fight. However, trying to skip the Condemned and brute force Libra won’t help you defeat him. If you’re looking for an easy way, we highly recommend using Holy weapons.

Additional Notes

Lastly, if you’re comfortable doing solo runs, we highly recommend fighting Everdark Libra alone. In solo mode, Libra has significantly lower defenses and also summons fewer Condemned NPCs on the battlefield.
